Main Responsibilities
- Promote effective and efficient supervisory activities, including risk assessment and capital/liquidity evaluation.
- Support the functioning of supervisory colleges, particularly in cross-border banking group supervision.
- Develop technical standards and guidelines for cross-border supervisory cooperation.
- Provide support to EBA internal committees and subgroups.
- Facilitate briefings for EBA representatives in meetings with external stakeholders.
- Prepare policy positions and provide advice on supervision and cooperation.
- Perform other tasks as required by the Head of the Home-Host Coordination Unit.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language: Proficiency in one EU language and satisfactory knowledge in another.
- Nationality: EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Civic Rights: Full rights as a citizen.
- Military Service: Fulfillment of legal obligations.
- Health: Physical fitness for the role.
- Criminal Record: Certificate confirming no criminal record.
- Medical Examination: Required to meet Article 12 (2)(d) of the Staff Regulations.
2. Qualifications and Experience
- Education: University degree with at least one year of relevant professional experience (if 3-year program) or a 4-year program with no additional experience required.
- Professional Experience: At least 10 years (for 3-year education) or 9 years (for 4-year education) of full-time experience in financial regulation or supervision, including at least 3 years in a comparable role.
3. Language Skills
- English: Excellent knowledge (written and spoken).
- Other EU Languages: Considered as an advantage.
4. Selection Criteria
- Experience in Pillar 2 supervisory review and evaluation.
- Experience in cross-border supervisory cooperation.
- Proven knowledge of EU banking regulation.

Selection Procedure

Appointment and Employment Conditions

- Salary: Estimated monthly basic salary of €6,299.95, with additional benefits depending on family situation and origin.
Conditions of Employment Summary
- Tax: Salaries are exempt from national tax; Community tax at source is applied.
- Correction Coefficient: 39.2% for UK-based staff.
- Benefits: May include expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance, education allowance, installation allowance, and reimbursement of removal costs.
- Leave: 2 days per calendar month, plus supplementary home leave for expatriates.
