Position Overview: Bank Expert (Crisis Management)
The EBA is currently seeking a Bank Expert to support crisis management and resolution in cross-border banking groups. The role is based in London, United Kingdom, and involves working under the supervision of the Head of Home-Host Coordination Unit.
Main Responsibilities
- Contributing to the development and implementation of recovery and resolution tools for cross-border banking groups.
- Mapping and analysing resolution strategies and practices.
- Supporting the functioning of resolution colleges and providing guidance to supervisory and resolution authorities.
- Participating in the creation of technical standards and guidelines related to crisis management.
- Supporting internal committees and subgroups.
- Facilitating briefings for EBA representatives in meetings with external stakeholders.
- Preparing policy stances and providing policy advice.
- Performing other duties as required.
Eligibility Criteria
1.1 General
- Proficiency in at least two EU languages (one being excellent, the other satisfactory).
- Nationality of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Full citizen rights and compliance with military service obligations.
- Physical fitness for the role.
1.2 Specific
1.2.1 Qualifications
- A diploma from completed university studies of at least three years.
- Recognition of qualifications by EU or EEA authorities or their equivalents.
- If studies were completed outside the EU, they must be recognized by a delegated body from an EU Member State.
1.2.2 Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of full-time professional experience in financial regulation or supervision.
- Experience is counted from the date of diploma award to the application deadline.
1.2.3 Language Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
- Native English speakers must prove proficiency in a second EU language.

Appointment and Employment Conditions

- Estimated monthly basic salary: €4960.64.
