Job Description
The EBA is seeking a Junior Policy Expert to support its regulatory efforts in the areas of the Banking Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD), Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD). The role involves:
- Contributing to the Questions and Answers (Q&A) process to address stakeholders' queries on the practical application of these regulations and related technical standards.
- Developing the EBA's policy stances in both EU and international contexts.
- Representing the EBA externally in technical discussions.
- Supporting internal committees and subgroups, particularly in Q&A-related activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparing policy stances and providing regulatory advice for the consistent application of BRRD/CRR/CRD.
- Managing the Q&A process for stakeholders' questions and related technical documents.
- Externally representing the EBA in technical discussions.
- Supporting internal committees and subgroups in their work.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria

Language proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.

Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.

Selection Procedure
- Selection Committee: Analyzes applications and establishes a shortlist.

Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract Type: Temporary fixed-term contract of three years, with a nine-month probation period and possible extension.
- Start Date: Expected to begin on 1 January 2015.
- Grade: AD 5, with an estimated monthly basic salary of €4384.38.
- Remuneration: Details are outlined in Articles 62–70 and Annex VII of the Staff Regulations.
Summary of Employment Conditions
- Taxation: Salaries are exempt from national tax, with a Community tax at source.
- Correction Coefficient: 39.2% applies for UK-based staff.
