Main Purpose
The main purpose of the Junior Bank Expert is to:
- Advise and monitor supervisory colleges of major cross-border banking groups.
- Support the implementation of EBA standards and guidelines.
- Develop robust procedures for emergency situations.
Main Responsibilities
- Support home-host coordination work and participate in supervisory colleges.
- Provide feedback and guidance to competent authorities and develop tools for efficient college functioning.
- Monitor policy developments related to supervision.
- Prepare and coordinate good practices for competent authorities and banks.
- Develop effective emergency procedures.
- Facilitate briefings for EBA representation at meetings with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other ESAs, ESRB, and international bodies on crisis management and regulatory coordination.
- Carry out other tasks as required.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Legal Rights: Full rights as a citizen and no criminal record.
- Military Service: Obligations on military service fulfilled.
- Physical Fitness: Fit to perform the duties of the position.
2. Qualifications
- Must have completed at least three years of university studies with a valid diploma.
- Qualifications must be from EU/EEA Member States or recognized as equivalent.
- If studies were completed outside the EU, they must be recognized by an EU/EEA authority.
3. Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of full-time professional experience in banking, supervision, or related fields.
- Experience is counted from the date of diploma award to the application deadline.
4. Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Native English speakers must prove second language proficiency.
- Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.
