Main Responsibilities
The Policy Expert position, specifically in the area of leverage and liquidity, involves:

- Contributing to the EBA's policy stances within the EU and international forums.
- Representing the EBA externally in technical discussions.
- Supporting internal committees and subgroups.

- Communicating regulatory developments to management.

Key Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Citizenship Rights: Full rights as a citizen.

2. Qualifications
- Must have completed university studies (3 years or more) with a diploma, or 4 years or more of studies, and relevant professional experience of at least one year.
- If studies were completed outside the EU, the qualification must be recognized by an EU or EEA authority.
3. Professional Experience
- Minimum 7 years (for 3-year education) or 6 years (for 4-year education) of full-time professional experience in bank regulation or supervision.
4. Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
- Native English speakers must prove proficiency in a second EU language.
- Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.
5. Selection Criteria
- Proven knowledge of EU banking regulation, especially the CRR provisions on leverage and liquidity.
- Experience in drafting policy stances and regulations.

Appointment and Employment Conditions
