Main Purpose
The Head of the Home Host Coordination Unit is responsible for leading and managing the work of the home host team and other EBA staff involved in supervisory colleges. The role aims to ensure effective EBA engagement in monitoring and promoting the efficient functioning of these colleges.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and coordinate the work programme of the Unit based on the EBA's mission and annual plan.
- Develop and lead guidelines for the Unit's policies and actions.
- Lead the development of the EBA's strategy for effective functioning of supervisory colleges.
- Monitor and develop the objectives of home host team members.
- Design and oversee the work programme for EBA's engagement with colleges.
- Ensure high-quality interaction with all relevant colleges and competent authorities.
- Develop new tools and methods to support best practices in colleges.
- Serve as the main communication channel between the EBA and senior management levels in competent authorities.
- Facilitate communication between senior management, Unit members, and other EBA units.
- Represent the Unit in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Fluency in one EU language and satisfactory knowledge in another.
- Nationality of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Full citizen rights, no criminal record, and compliance with military service obligations.
- Physical fitness for the role.
2. Selection Criteria
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Proven knowledge of EU banking regulation.
- Experience in EU banking regulation and supervision.
- In-depth understanding of supervisory risk assessments.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing teams, planning work streams, and coordinating efforts.
- Experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with senior management in regulatory and banking contexts.
- Proven experience in the responsibilities outlined in a national or international setting.

Selection Procedure
- A selection committee will evaluate applications based on eligibility and selection criteria.

- Candidates scoring 12 or above will be placed on a reserve list valid until 31 December 2013.

Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract type: Temporary agent fixed-term contract of three years, with a probation period of nine months and possible extension.
- Expected start date: 16 January 2013.
- Grade: AD 10.
- Estimated monthly basic salary: €8,064.86.

- Salaries are tax-exempt, with a Community tax at source.
- A correction coefficient of 34.4% applies for UK-based staff.
- Benefits may include expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance, education allowance, installation allowance, and reimbursement of removal costs.
- Annual leave is two days per calendar month, plus additional days based on age, grade, and distance from origin.
