Main Purpose
The main purpose of the Bank Sector Analyst position is to assess risks and vulnerabilities in the EU banking sector. The role is critical to the EBA's micro-prudential risk assessment capabilities and contributes to broader discussions on sector risks within the EU financial system.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments for individual institutions and the banking sector as a whole.
- Improve the EBA's input material for risk assessments and dashboards.
- Produce original thematic analyses and regular risk reports.
- Engage with national authorities to gather comprehensive risk insights.
- Collaborate with other ESAs and the ESRB to develop cross-sectoral risk assessments.
- Participate in EU-wide stress testing and other initiatives.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language: Excellent knowledge of English; satisfactory knowledge of another EU language.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Citizenship Rights: Full rights as a citizen.
- Military Service: No outstanding obligations.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit for the role.
- Criminal Record: Must provide a certificate confirming no criminal record.
- Medical Examination: Required to meet Article 12(2)(d) standards.
2. Qualifications
- Education: Completed university studies (at least 3 years) with a diploma and at least one year of relevant professional experience, or completed university studies (4 years or more) with a diploma.
- Professional Experience: At least 13 years (for 3-year education) or 12 years (for 4-year education) of full-time, relevant experience in banking, risk analysis, or related fields.
- Accepted Qualifications: Must be issued by EU or EEA authorities or recognized as equivalent.

Selection Procedure

Appointment and Employment Conditions
