Overview

The EBA is currently seeking a Bank Sector Analyst to join its Oversight area in London, UK. The role is crucial for conducting micro-prudential risk assessments across the EU banking sector and contributing to cross-sectoral analyses.
Core Responsibilities
- Conducting risk assessments of individual banks and the EU banking sector as a whole.
- Improving the EBA's input material for risk assessments and dashboards.
- Producing regular risk reports that support the EBA's risk evaluation activities.
- Engaging with national authorities to gather comprehensive insights on sector risks.
- Collaborating with other European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) and the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) to enhance cross-sectoral risk assessments.
- Supporting EU-wide stress testing and other oversight activities.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
Eligibility Criteria
General Requirements
- Fluent in one EU language and proficient in another.
- National of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Full citizen rights and no criminal record.
- Physically fit to perform the duties.
- Must provide a certificate of no criminal record and undergo a medical examination.
Specific Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Completed university studies with a diploma.
- At least one year of professional experience if the normal university education is three years.
- Or, at least four years of university education with no additional professional experience required.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years (for 3-year education) or 9 years (for 4-year education) of relevant experience in banking supervision, sector analysis, or related fields.
- Language Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.

Selection Procedure

Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract Type: Temporary fixed-term contract of 3 years with a 6-month probation period, possibly extendable.

- Function Group and Grade: AD 8. Estimated monthly basic salary: €6,299.95.
