Main Responsibilities

Strengthen the EBA's capacity to assess risks in banks and across the banking sector.
Lead thematic analyses and produce regular risk reports.
Engage with national authorities to build a comprehensive risk picture.
Collaborate with ESAs and ESRB to create cross-sectoral risk assessment reports.
Participate in EU-wide initiatives such as stress testing and other oversight activities.

Key Requirements

1. Eligibility Criteria

Language proficiency: Excellent knowledge of English; satisfactory knowledge of another EU language.
Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
Citizenship rights: Full rights as a citizen.
Military service: Obligations fulfilled.
Physical fitness: Required for the role.

2. Qualifications

A university degree in economics or a related field, with a diploma.
Option a: 3-year degree + at least 1 year of professional experience.
Option b: 4-year degree + at least 1 year of professional experience.
Qualifications must be recognized by EU or EEA authorities, or equivalent.

3. Professional Experience

At least 13 years (for option a) or 12 years (for option b) of relevant full-time professional experience.
At least 5 years in bank regulation, supervision, risk assessment, or stress testing.

4. Language Skills

Excellent English (written and spoken).
Native English speakers must prove proficiency in a second EU language.

5. Competencies

Experience in an EU or multicultural environment.
Ability to manage workload independently.
Flexibility and fast learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to work efficiently under time pressure.

Selection Procedure

Selection committee will review CVs, motivation letters, and eligibility grids to create a shortlist.
Written tests (English, 10 points, minimum 6 to pass) and interviews (English, 10 points, minimum 6 to pass).
Candidates with the highest scores will be recruited; those scoring 12 or above will be placed on a reserve list valid until 31 December 2014.

Appointment and Employment Conditions

Contract type: Temporary fixed-term contract of 3 years with a 9-month probation period.
Expected start date: 1 September 2014.
Grade: AD 9.
Estimated monthly salary: €7,185.01.
