Main Purpose
The role is focused on monitoring and analysing risks across the EU banking sector, supporting the EBA's oversight activities and risk assessment frameworks.
Main Responsibilities
- Support in data sourcing, checking, and building effective datasets
- Assist in developing an effective risk assessment framework, including risk dashboards and indicators
- Support the analysis of ongoing risk assessments and thematic risk work
- Design and support specific risk project frameworks as identified by the Head of Unit or Director
- Provide briefings for EBA representation at meetings with external stakeholders
- Support working groups within and outside the EBA
- Cooperate with other ESAs, ESRB, and international bodies
- Perform other tasks as required
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway
- Citizenship rights: Entitled to full rights as a citizen
- Military service: Must have fulfilled any applicable obligations
- Physical fitness: Must be fit to perform the duties of the post
- Criminal record: Must provide a certificate confirming no criminal record
- Medical examination: Required to meet Article 12(2)(d) of the Conditions of Employment
2. Qualifications
- Completed university studies (diploma required)
- At least one year of professional experience if the normal university education is 3 years
- At least two years of professional experience if the normal university education is 4 years or more
- Qualifications must be from EU or EEA Member State authorities or equivalent
3. Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of other EU official languages is an advantage
4. Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in financial system analysis, especially in banking
- Experience in building and analysing datasets
- Experience in drafting reports, memos, and briefings with user-friendly visuals
- Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Advantageous:
- Direct experience in EU banking sector assessments
- Experience in a regulatory setting
- Experience in data set development using tools like SAS

Selection Procedure

Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract type: Temporary agent fixed-term contract for three years, with a probation period of six months and possible extension
- Grade: AD 5
- Estimated monthly basic salary: €4,349.59
- Employment benefits:

- Correction coefficient of 34.4% for UK staff
- Possible entitlement to expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance, education allowance, installation allowance, reimbursement of removal costs, initial temporary daily subsistence allowance, and other benefits
