Main Responsibilities
The Bank Sector Analyst on secondment will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development of methodologies for assessing banks' funding mix and funding plans
- Drafting reports on EU banks
- Conducting ongoing and thematic risk assessments
- Enhancing the EBA's capacity to use supervisory data and other information sources
- Providing briefings for EBA representatives in meetings with external stakeholders
- Supporting working groups within and beyond the EBA
Key Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, an EFTA Member State, or a country with which the EU has opened accession negotiations
- Citizenship Rights: Must be entitled to full rights as a citizen
- Education: At least three years of university-level education, with a diploma
- Professional Experience: Minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in central banking, bank regulation, or banking supervision
- Work Experience Calculation: From the date of diploma award to the application deadline
- Language for Work: Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken
2. Selection Criteria
- Experience in Funding Mix and Plans: Demonstrated ability to assess banks' funding structures
- Understanding of Financial System: Proven knowledge of the banking sector within the financial system
- Report Writing Skills: Experience in drafting reports, papers, memos, and briefings
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders

Appointment and Conditions
- Type of Position: Secondment from a national supervisory authority

- Employer: The home authority remains the employer during the secondment
- Salary and Social Rights: The home authority must continue to pay the salary and maintain social rights, including social security and pension
- Estimated Start Date: 1 April 2016
Conditions of Secondment
- Subsistence Allowances: Daily and monthly allowances are provided by the EBA, based on the Commission's annual determination and the UK's country correction coefficient
- Exchange Rate: Allowances are adjusted according to the monthly exchange rate published by the European Commission
