Main Responsibilities

- Data Analysis: Reviewing and analyzing EBA databases and ad hoc data collections, especially COREP / FINREP, in the context of capital, liquidity, and credit risk.
- Proportionality Assessment: Preparing policy stances and providing advice on the application of proportionality to prudential regulation.
- Guideline Development: Supporting the development and timely completion of guidelines and binding technical standards.
- External Engagement: Facilitating external consultations, implementation studies, training, and impact assessments.
- Representation: Representing the EBA externally in technical matters.
- Additional Tasks: Performing other quantitative and statistical tasks as required by the Head of the Unit.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, an EFTA Member State, or a country with which the EU has opened accession negotiations.
- Citizenship Rights: Must be entitled to full rights as a citizen.
2. Qualifications
- A university degree of at least three years in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Qualifications must be recognized by EU or EEA authorities or equivalent.
3. Professional Experience
- At least 2 years of full-time professional experience in bank supervision, banking regulation, or statistical analysis of COREP/FINREP data.
- Experience must be counted from the date of obtaining the relevant diploma.
4. Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
- Native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency in a second EU language.
5. Selection Criteria
- Experience in drafting technical reports, policies, and regulations.
- Data analysis experience.
- Programming experience (SAS or similar platforms).
6. Additional Advantages
- Experience with EU supervisory reporting frameworks.
- Experience in prudential regulation or frontline supervision of small and medium credit institutions.
- Previous participation in international regulatory working groups, particularly those related to the EBA.
Appointment and Engagement Conditions
- The position is a secondment from a national supervisory authority or an IGO (International Governmental Organisation).
- The secondment period is 12 to 24 months, renewable.
- The home authority remains the employer and is responsible for salary and social rights.

Conditions of Secondment
- The EBA will provide daily and monthly subsistence allowances, adjusted annually by the Commission and based on the UK correction coefficient and exchange rates.
