Main Responsibilities
- Drafting reports and guidelines: Lead the creation of reports and binding technical standards on credit risk, ensuring alignment with EU common rulebook.
- Policy development: Contribute to the EBA's policy positions in both EU and international contexts.
- External representation: Represent the EBA technically in relevant forums.
- Support to internal committees: Assist in the work of internal committees and subgroups.
- Facilitation of external consultations: Manage the implementation and communication of regulatory outputs through consultations, training, and impact assessments.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language proficiency: Excellent knowledge of English; native speakers must prove second language skills.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Criminal record: Must provide a certificate of no criminal record.
- Military service: Must have fulfilled any applicable military service obligations.
- Physical fitness: Must be physically fit for the role.
2. Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Must have a university diploma (minimum 3 years of study) or equivalent, with at least one year of professional experience.
- Professional experience:
- At least 10 years (for 3-year education) or 9 years (for 4-year education) of relevant experience in credit risk supervision or analysis.
- Experience must be post-education and include full-time roles.
- PhD consideration: PhD studies may count towards the experience if on a paid basis (e.g., study grant).
3. Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of economics and statistics: Proven expertise in banking and financial economics.
- Credit risk experience: Demonstrated experience in credit risk areas.
- EU banking regulation: Good understanding of EU banking regulations.
- Drafting skills: Experience in report writing or regulatory product development.

Appointment and Employment Conditions
