Main Responsibilities
- Impact Assessment Support: Provide economic analysis and impact assessment advice for the EBA's regulatory, oversight, and consumer protection activities, including consultations on policy options.
- Collaboration: Participate in EBA working groups and represent the EBA at a technical level, cooperating with other ESAs and the ESRB in the candidate's area of expertise.
- Economic Analysis: Conduct detailed economic analysis of proposed technical standards, guidelines, and supervisory recommendations.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language Skills: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, an EFTA Member State, or a country with which the Council has opened accession negotiations.
- Citizenship Rights: Be entitled to full rights as a citizen.
2. Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Completed university studies in economics or a related field, with at least three years of education.
- Professional Experience: At least three years of full-time professional experience in bank regulation, banking supervision, or economic research.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken). Native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency in a second EU language.
3. Selection Criteria
- EU Banking Regulation Knowledge: Proven understanding of EU banking regulation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in dealing with a wide range of relevant stakeholders.
- Policy Drafting: Experience in drafting papers, memos, or briefings on policy, regulation, or economic issues.
- Microeconomic Analysis: Professional experience in microeconomic analysis of financial regulatory and supervisory issues.
