Main Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Operating IT Systems: Ensure end-to-end operation of IT solutions, identify and resolve system issues, and escalate unresolved problems to second-line support.
- Communication: Interact professionally with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
- System Maintenance: Conduct technical system checks and prepare shift readiness reports.
- Incident Management: Monitor the incident ticketing system, flag critical issues, and maintain composure during system outages.
- Documentation and Compliance: Document system issues and ensure alignment with EBA policies and EU regulations.
- Shared Tasks: Assist in drafting technical specifications for tenders, planning maintenance, purchasing hardware/software, and validating technical designs for backend systems (e.g., UNIX, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Weblogic).
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Language Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
- Legal Rights: Full citizen rights and completion of any applicable military service obligations.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit for the role.
- Criminal Record: Provide a certificate confirming no criminal record.
- Medical Examination: Must pass a medical exam as per EU employment conditions.
Qualifications
- Education: Completed university studies (minimum 3 years) with at least one year of professional experience, or completed studies with a minimum of 4 years (no experience required).
- Recognition: Qualifications must be recognized by EU or EEA authorities or equivalent.
Professional Experience
- Minimum Experience: 7 years (for 3-year education) or 6 years (for 4-year education) of relevant full-time professional experience in IT operations, particularly in controlled production environments or financial services technology.
- Experience Scope: From the date of diploma award to the application deadline.
Language Skills
- English: Excellent knowledge required (written and spoken).
- Second Language: Native English speakers must prove proficiency in a second EU language.
Selection Criteria
- Experience in Corporate Environments: At least 3 years in large corporate environments, especially in production or client-facing IT roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in UNIX/Linux, SQL, Oracle, shell scripting, XML, and encryption technologies.
- Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with FTP, telnet, HTTP(S), and SSH.
- ITIL Knowledge: Sound understanding of ITIL, particularly in incident and problem management.
- Team Management: Advantageous to have experience in managing vendor teams for global applications.

Selection Procedure

Appointment and Employment Conditions

- Grade and Salary: Grade AD 7, with a monthly basic salary of €5,568.11.
