Main Purpose
The Policy Support Officer will:
- Manage the EBA database and implement IT solutions for notification analysis.

- Support the notification process by ensuring the regular updating of the official EBA Notifications' list and coordinating communication with external users.
Main Responsibilities
- Data Control and Monitoring: Ensure the EBA Notifications' list is updated regularly.
- Reporting: Prepare statistical reports based on data from the eGate platform.
- Communication Strategy: Advise on appropriate communication channels for notifications, including the use of eGate templates, mailboxes, and other methods.
- Legal Monitoring: Track and monitor relevant EU banking regulations and technical standards.
- External Representation: Act as the EBA’s contact point for external users, national competent authorities, central banks, and deposit guarantee schemes.
- Working Group Participation: Represent the EBA in relevant external working groups.
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State or an EEA country (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway).
- Citizenship Rights: Entitled to full rights as a citizen.
- Military Service: Have fulfilled any applicable military service obligations.
- Language Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of English (working language of EBA).
- Thorough knowledge of one official EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit for the role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: At least three years of completed university studies, with a diploma.
- Professional Experience: At least one year of relevant experience, and two years of full-time professional experience in banking regulation or supervision.
- Experience in EU Institutions: Advantageous, though not mandatory.
Technical Skills
- Statistical Knowledge: Proven understanding of statistical theory and techniques, especially in banking and financial contexts.
- EU Banking Regulation: Familiarity with regulations such as:
- Anti-Money Laundering (AMLA)
- Counter Finance of Terrorism (CFT)
- Central Securities Depositories Regulation (CSDR)
- Capital Requirement Regulation (CRR)
- Payment and Settlement Directive (PSD)
- Database Management: Experience in organizing and managing databases.
- Software Proficiency: Advantageous to be a proficient user of SAS, SQL, or similar tools.
