Main Purpose of the Role
The Corporate Support Assistant will support the EBA’s operational activities, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office and premises. The role involves coordination and supervision of various tasks, including:
- Managing contracts and supply orders
- Handling stationery, office equipment, and services provided by the landlord
- Acting as the point of contact for service providers
- Coordinating physical security, fire, health, and safety procedures
- Drafting and implementing corporate policies
- Managing asset and inventory records
- Budget forecasting, administration, and monitoring
- Initiating financial transactions related to corporate support
- Ensuring operational targets are met and continuous improvement is achieved
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a national of an EU Member State or EEA country (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway)
- Must be entitled to full citizen rights
- Must have fulfilled military service obligations
- Must have thorough knowledge of one EU official language and satisfactory knowledge of another
- Must be physically fit for the role
Qualifications
- A post-secondary education diploma (level a), or a secondary education diploma (level b) that grants access to post-secondary education
Professional Experience
- 6 years of full-time professional experience (for level a), or 9 years (for level b)
- At least 4 years in a comparable position related to the job description
Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Native English speakers must prove second language skills (minimum B2 level for French is advantageous)
Selection Criteria
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Experience in building maintenance
- Experience in access control systems
- Experience in managing contracts with external providers
- Experience in handling ticketing response systems
Advantages include:
- Knowledge of French at B2 level
- Experience in an EU/multicultural/international environment
- Health and Safety or First Aider certificate (to be attached to application)
Selection Procedure
- Written tests in English, focusing on communication, knowledge, and drafting skills (minimum score: 6/10)
- Interviews in English to assess suitability, professional knowledge, and motivation (minimum score: 6/10)
- Total score of at least 12 is required for inclusion in the reserve list
- Confidentiality is strictly enforced; any contact with selection committee members is prohibited
Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract type: Temporary agent, fixed-term for 3 years with a probation period of 9 months

- Grade: AST 3
- Estimated monthly basic salary: €3,540.26
- Remuneration: Exempt from national tax; Union tax at source applies

- Leave: 2 days per calendar month, plus 2.5 days of supplementary home leave for those entitled to expatriation allowance
