Main Responsibilities
- Preparing policy stances and providing policy advice in the areas of liquidity, leverage, and capital buffers.
- Supporting internal committees and subgroups, including their chairpersons.
- Ensuring timely completion of guidelines and technical standards in line with agreed processes and quality standards.
- Representing the EBA externally on a technical level in relevant EU and international fora.
- Facilitating external consultations, implementation studies, training, and impact assessments for the guidelines and standards.
- Cooperating with other ESAs and the ESRB, particularly in the development of coordinated or joint policy positions.
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Language proficiency: Thorough knowledge of one EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- Nationality: Must be a national of an EU Member State, an EFTA Member State, or a country with which the EU has opened accession negotiations.
- Citizenship rights: Must be entitled to full rights as a citizen.
2. Qualifications
- Education: Completed university studies of at least three years, as evidenced by a diploma.
- Professional experience: At least three years of full-time professional experience in bank regulation, banking supervision, or central/ commercial bank operations.
- Language requirement: Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken), with additional knowledge of other EU languages being an advantage.
3. Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of EU banking regulation.
- Experience in drafting policy stances and regulations.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Experience in engaging with stakeholders in the EU legislative process.
- Experience in developing regulations related to liquidity, leverage, and capital buffers.
