The European Banking Authority (EBA) is an independent EU authority established in 2011 under Regulation (EC) No. 1093/2010, with subsequent amendments. Main Responsibilities
- Providing administrative and organisational support to EBA teams
- Coordinating information exchange with national authorities and international bodies
- Encouraging adherence to deadlines and milestones
- Supporting internal and external working groups and projects
- Acting as a point of contact with national supervisory authorities and international organisations
- Organising and scheduling meetings, workshops, and seminars
- Preparing documents and dossiers for meetings
- Creating summary reports and maintaining EBA databases
- Managing correspondence, emails, and document filing/ archiving
- Performing general office and administrative duties
Requirements
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway
- Must be entitled to full citizen rights
- Must have fulfilled any applicable military service obligations
- Must be physically fit for the role
- Must provide a certificate of no criminal record and undergo a medical examination
2. Qualifications
- Either a post-secondary education diploma or a secondary education diploma with access to post-secondary education and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Qualifications must be from EU/EEA authorities or equivalent
- If obtained outside the EU, must be recognised by an EU Member State authority
3. Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time professional experience in a similar administrative role
- Experience is counted from the date of obtaining the required diploma up to the application deadline
4. Language Skills
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency in a second EU language
- Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage
Selection Criteria
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, including diary management, meeting organisation, and proofreading
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite, preferably with experience in LegisWrite
- Experience in working with databases
- Experience in administrative support for legal, governmental, or financial activities
- Experience in handling a variety of administrative and support tasks

Selection Procedure
- The selection process includes a written test (scored out of 10, minimum 6 to pass) and an interview (scored out of 10, minimum 6 to pass)
- Successful candidates will be ranked by merit, with those scoring 12 or above placed on a reserve list valid until 31 December 2015
- Candidates must declare any potential conflict of interest before recruitment
- Selection committee decisions are confidential, and any contact with members is prohibited
Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract Type: Fixed-term contract for 2 years, with a 9-month probation period and possible extension
- Start Date: Expected to start on 1 December 2015
- Function Group and Grade: Function group III
- Salary: Monthly basic salary of €2,476.74, with details available in the Staff Regulations and related documents
- Benefits: Includes Community tax at source, various allowances (expatriation, household, dependent child, etc.), annual leave, pension scheme, sickness and accident insurance, and travel insurance for missions
