Objectives

- Rated as a responsive, long-term partner. Flexibility and responsiveness improved.
- Collaboration with national government remained neutral; collaboration with civil society, private sector, and other donors was viewed most favorably.
WBG Should Collaborate More With
- Majority of respondents supported increased collaboration with civil society (51%), national government (47%), private sector (43%).
WBG Knowledge Work and Activities
- Knowledge work was widely used despite low adoption by certain groups. Quality and tailoring improved; familiarity with knowledge work correlated positively with perceived effectiveness.
The Future Role of the WBG in Zimbabwe
- Key focus areas: Debt relief, capacity building for self-sustainability, aligning WBG support with national priorities, and improving operational modes.
- Future priorities: Addressing financial constraints in accessing private capital, providing project preparation funding and risk guarantees.
