The European Banking Authority (EBA) is seeking applications for the position of IT Project Manager to establish a reserve list. This role is part of the Operations Department's Information Technology Unit and involves managing critical IT projects in alignment with the EBA Work Program and IT strategy.

Main Purpose of the Position
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing IT projects in accordance with EBA's project methodology and procedures.
- Managing resources, including vendors, and overseeing budget and contract management.
- Acting as a development manager for IT projects, whether internally developed or vendor-based.
- Ensuring stakeholder engagement and successful project delivery through effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
- Representing the EBA in forums related to IT projects and programs, and promoting a project-oriented culture.
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a national of an EU Member State or EEA country.
- Must be entitled to full citizen rights.
- Must have fulfilled military service obligations.
- Must have knowledge of at least two official EU languages, with English being the primary working language.
- Must be physically fit for the role.
Qualifications
- University degree (minimum 3 years of study) or equivalent (minimum 4 years of study).
- At least 10 years (for 3-year degree) or 9 years (for 4-year degree) of relevant full-time professional experience in IT, with at least 5 years in project management.
Selection Criteria
- Significant experience in managing large IT projects (budget > €2m, duration > 1 year).
- Certification in Project Management.
- Experience in managing both internally developed and vendor-based IT projects.
- Proven skills in Contract and Vendor Management, Budgeting, Procurement, and Product Management.
- Experience in successful project delivery in environments with strong governance and diverse stakeholder engagement.
Advantages include:
- Experience in public sector procurement (preferably under European Commission rules).

Selection Procedure
- A selection committee will evaluate applications based on eligibility and selection criteria.

Appointment and Employment Conditions
- Contract type: Temporary agent fixed-term contract (3 years) with a probation period of 9 months.
- Estimated monthly basic salary: €6,934.02.
- Remuneration package is detailed in Staff Regulations (Articles 62–70) and Annex VII.
- Salaries are exempt from national tax, with Union tax at source applied.
- Benefits may include expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance, education allowance, and others based on individual circumstances.
- Annual leave: 2 days per calendar month, plus additional days based on age, grade, and supplementary home leave (2.5 days for those entitled to expatriation allowance).
