Projects must demonstrate innovation in application or operation. Safety is paramount, requiring approved equipment, comprehensive safety measures, fire detection systems, and qualified service providers based on voltage levels. Projects must have ready access to construction and meet grid integration criteria.

Application and Review Process

Applications must be submitted by city energy authorities by April 21, 2023, including detailed declarations and summary tables. The provincial bureau will conduct an expert review and potential third-party evaluation, with results published and verified.
