Effectiveness and Alignment

Effectiveness ratings rose significantly, with alignment with national priorities and policy influence showing the largest gains. Government and academic stakeholders rated WBG higher across key performance indicators (e.g., effectivenes in helping Moldova achieve results: avg. 7.4).

Development Priorities

Top development areas prioritized by stakeholders are: transport infrastructure, energy, agriculture/food security, and education. Energy and water/sanitation gains were notable compared to FY 2019. Private sector and civil society respondents emphasized climate adaptation and social inclusion.

Engagement and Collaboration

Stakeholders call for improved collaboration, especially with local governments, civil society, and better responsiveness. Financial resources, technical assistance, and timely implementation are valued most, with recommendations for performance-based lending and partnerships.

Communications and Outreach

Preferred communication channels include events, e-newsletters, and direct contact. WBG work on economic forecasts, climate change, and ending poverty were most recalled. Media stakeholders expressed concerns about transparency and misinformation.

Future Role Suggestions

Survey responses suggest the WBG should enhance policy dialogue, disseminate knowledge, and focus on local context adaptation to improve impact. Capacity building and stakeholder engagement were key demands.
