The Togo Country Opinion Survey for FY 2024 assessed stakeholder perceptions of the World Bank Group (WBG) across various aspects including familiarity, trust, effectiveness, and priority development areas. Conducted from May to July 2024 using a mixed-mode questionnaire with a 34% response rate, 237 participants from groups like government, civil society, private sector, and academia provided insights. Key findings show high trust in both WBG and the government, with familiarity correlating directly with positive views. Perceptions of relevance and alignment with development priorities improved, while areas like agriculture, education, health, and climate change were prioritized. Engagement with the national government was viewed positively, but collaboration with civil society and private sector faced criticism. Financial resources and timely support were highly valued, though recipients like civil society and private sector showed lower familiarity and less positive views. Communication preferences favored e-newsletters and events, and recent recall was highest for topics like climate change and poverty reduction. Methodologically similar to the 2021 survey, the results highlight the need for increased outreach, stakeholder engagement, and focus on climate-related initiatives for better impact in Togo.
