报告摘要
Transpacific freight rates have leveled out in recent weeks after substantial gains over the past 3+ weeks, driven by a resurgence in China-US demand against reduced capacity. Demand is moderating but still elevated compared to normal standards, while capacity is beginning to increase after adjustments in April, including redirecting 12% of capacity and blanking sailings on an additional 10-15%, primarily affecting China-US lanes which account for half of Transpacific volumes. The faster-than-supply demand rebound has led to surges in Asia-USWC freight rates, from around $2,500/feu to $6,000/feu. Current capacity remains tight at about 515,000 teu, with full return expected by early July, potentially impacting forward rates and benefiting other routes like Asia-Europe as they lag in capacity.
