WHO Collaborating Centre Report

• Presented by Dr Mohammad Nouri Sharikabad; covered activities, including upcoming ATC/DDD courses in Portugal (April 2023) and Oslo (8-9 June 2023).

Key Decisions on ATC Classification Items

• At total of 54 new ATC 5th level codes and 3 ATC 4th level codes were established or discussed.
  • Bispecific antibodies: Maintained in L01FX; no new 4th level code proposed; possibility for reclassification considered later. New codes added for ecoritamab, glofitamab, and talquetamab.
  • Vamorolone: New ATC 5th level code created in H02AB with specific guidelines.
  • Monoclonal antibody combinations: New ATC 4th level code established as L01FY for anti-neoplastic combinations.
  • Other classifications: Clazosentan (C04AX), deucravacitinib (L04AF), leriglitazone (A16AX), amyloid and tau radiopharmaceuticals (V09AX) maintained or updated with notes.
  • Additional decisions: New codes for apadamase alfa and cinaxadase alfa (B01AD), etranacogene dezaparvovec (B02BD), aporcitentan (C02K), ramipril-indapamide combination (C09BA05), tacrolimus (D11AH01), capivasertib (L01EX), delandistrogene moxeparvovec (M09AX), donanemab (N06DX), and sodium thiosulfate (V03AB).

Decisions on Defined Daily Dose (DDD) Items

• Approval of the dose protocol with one exception: Budesonide DDD set to 1.5 mg effective 1 January 2023 to reflect maintenance dose.
• DDD assignments: 20 new single substances and 10 combination products received DDD values; two modification requests discussed; spironolactone modification deferral pending further data.
• Revisions from 2021 ATC/DDD index: Most DDDs unchanged; budesonide reduced as noted above.
