报告摘要
Global oncology shows significant advancements and growth, balancing innovative therapies with challenges in accessibility and equity. Progress includes record drug launches, especially targeting rare cancers and using novel modalities like CAR-T and mRNA vaccines. Treatment of previously untreatable cancers has improved, with longer durations and better outcomes due to earlier-line therapies, such as immunotherapy and targeted agents. Rising spending, projected to reach $375 billion by 2027, is driven by innovation and later-stage therapies, offset slightly by biosimilar uptake. Trial starts are high but complex, with increasing global collaboration, but racial and ethnic diversity in oncology trials remains low, particularly among Black, non-Hispanic, and Hispanic patient groups. China is becoming a key player in R&D, while disparities in access and socioeconomic barriers persist, affecting outcomes.
