Conclusion
The Ecodesign Directive has been successful in improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. However, challenges such as insufficient political support, slow regulatory processes, and inadequate market surveillance hinder its full potential. To enhance its effectiveness, the Directive should be integrated more systematically with circular economy principles, supported by better coordination, standardized testing, and improved data sharing mechanisms.
