Overview
The 2016 Global School-based Student Health Survey (GSHS) in urban Morocco assessed health behaviors of students in grades 1 ASC to 2nd yr Bac, typically ages 13–17 years, using a two-stage cluster sampling design. Key measurement areas included dietary behaviors, drug use, hygiene, mental health, physical activity, protective factors, tobacco use, and violence/unintentional injury, with self-reported data.

-
Drug Use: Significant lifetime marijuana use (about 3.1–7.3%) and early initiation among drug users; rates higher among teenagers.
-
