报告摘要
China's overseas investment in the first half of 2022 showed overall stability but faced challenges due to global economic risks and domestic factors. Foreign Direct Investment (ODI) decreased by 3.6% to $68.8 billion, with non-financial ODI increasing slightly by 0.6%. Investments in the Belt and Road Initiative grew by 4.7%, maintaining a strong focus on emerging markets like ASEAN and Pakistan. Overseas mergers and acquisitions (M&A) totaled $16.0 billion, down 36% year-on-year, with a rebound in the second quarter, but uncertainties persist. Sector-wise, TMT and mining industries saw significant growth, while consumer goods experienced a sharp decline. Regionally, Asia remained the top destination, with Australia showing逆势回升. Overall, Chinese businesses are cautious about overseas investments amid inflation, geopolitical tensions, and policy shifts, but green sectors like new energy vehicles are emerging as key growth areas.
Despite the volatility, EPC contracts decreased by 6.2% to $103.6 billion, reflecting global economic uncertainty. Recommendations include risk assessment and focus on renewable energy and data security governance for future investments.
