Data Retention Periods

- Candidates on reserve list but not recruited: Data is stored for the duration of the reserve list and three years after its expiry
- Non-successful candidates: Data is stored for three years after the Appointing Authority's decision
After the retention period, the EBA may retain non-identifying data for statistical purposes. Identifying data will be destroyed in accordance with Article 4 of Regulation (EC) 45/2001.
Data Subject Rights
Candidates have the right to:
- Access and rectify their data
- Block or erase their data under certain conditions
Access and Rectification:
- Candidates can submit updated CVs and motivation letters or correct inaccurate data before the application deadline
- After the deadline, rectification is limited to identification and contact details
Blocking/Erasing Data:
- If a candidate contests the accuracy of their data, it is blocked immediately for verification
- If the candidate considers the processing unlawful or no longer necessary, data is blocked within 15 working days
- If the candidate requests erasure, the data is removed within 15 working days
