Overall oil demand in June 2024 rose by 1.49 million barrels per day (mb/d) month-on-month and by 0.91 mb/d year-on-year, continuing to be driven by increases in gasoline, jet fuel, and kerosene demand.
Gasoline demand reached a seasonal record high, while diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) demand decreased month-on-month by 0.1 kb/d and 58.8 kb/d respectively.
Crude oil production increased month-on-month by 106 kb/d, with year-on-year growth of 55 kb/d, led by Canada, Norway, and the United States.
Crude inventories converged with the 5-year average by being 233 million barrels below it, while product inventories surged by 53.1 million barrels month-on-month, maintaining a position above the 5-year average.

Natural gas demand and production both increased month-on-month by 4.2 billion cubic meters (bcm) and 0.7 bcm respectively in June, with year-on-year growth of 3.5% in production.
EU+UK natural gas demand fell by 1.3 bcm month-on-month, settling at a 5-year seasonal low.
Natural gas inventories rose significantly by 14.4 bcm month-on-month, continuing an upward trend above 5-year seasonal levels.
