Tobacco Use Prevalence: 13.3% of students had ever smoked cigarettes, with higher uptake among males (15.3% vs. 10.6%). 15.8% currently use any tobacco product overall (males 18.7%, females 12.3%), including 4.2% who smoke cigarettes and 15.3% who use other forms.

Determinants: Young people perceive smoking as socially desirable, with many wanting to quit (53.6%) and having tried to stop (60.1%). Media exposure includes 4.6% of students having billboards or ads promoting cigarettes, and over half stating smoking should be banned from public places.

Exposure and Access: 32.1% live in homes with others smoking, leading to moderate secondhand smoke (SHS) exposure, influenced by friends (one in six have most friends smoking). High accessibility: 94.9% successfully bought cigarettes, and 16.7% have cigarette brand objects.

Prevention Efforts: School-based interventions occurred in 45.9% discussing smoking dangers, but cessation help is limited. 15.0% of never smokers are likely to initiate use next year.
