Overview
The Global Advisor Wave 109 survey, conducted between April 20th and May 3rd, 2018, collected data from 21,268 adults across 28 countries to assess the current state of national and local economies, as well as future economic outlooks. The results highlight a global economic sentiment with some notable trends and variations among countries.
Survey Methodology
- The survey was conducted monthly using the Ipsos Online Panel system.
- The sample sizes varied: 1,000+ participants for the US, Israel, and Canada, and 500+ for the rest of the countries.
- The precision of the polls is calculated using a credibility interval: 1,000 participants are accurate to ±3.1 percentage points, and 500 participants are accurate to ±4.5 percentage points.
- 15 countries (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the United States) have nationally representative samples.
- The remaining 13 countries (Brazil, China, Chile, India, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South Africa, and Turkey) have samples that are more urban, educated, and high-income, referred to as "Upper Deck Consumer Citizens."
