Global agrifood businesses face severe disruptions due to climate risks, which threaten supply chains, increase costs, and exacerbate equity issues. Investing in climate-resilient supply chains offers multiple benefits, including cost savings, new business opportunities, alignment with national climate priorities (NDCs/NAPs), and enhanced corporate reputation.

Climate Resilience & Net Zero Framework

The framework consists of four core steps:

1. Build Management Commitment: Secure executive buy-in, integrate climate policies, and leverage partnerships for supplier engagement.
2. Implement Adaptation Strategies: Assess climate risks, set adaptation targets, and deploy solutions like drought-resistant crops and improved water management.
3. Reduce GHG Emissions: Map supply chain emissions, set science-based targets (especially for Scope 3), and implement mitigation actions such as regenerative agriculture and renewable energy transitions.
4. Track and Disclose Progress: Enhance transparency through MRV systems and align reporting with national and international standards (e.g., TCFD, SBTi).
