报告摘要
Responsible Digital Payments for Women's Financial Equality
This policy brief highlights the importance of prioritizing women in digital financial inclusion to promote financial equality and inclusive economies. Despite progress, 740 million women remain excluded from financial services due to barriers like lack of formal ID, limited financial capability, and inadequate service design. Key recommendations include digitizing all payments, collecting and analyzing sex-disaggregated data, eliminating discriminatory laws, and improving digital infrastructure. A 10-point call to action emphasizes actionable steps for policymakers, businesses, and international organizations to remove structural barriers.
Financial inclusion for women can drive economic resilience and community benefits. Issues such as COVID-19 and climate change disproportionately affect women, making digital payment solutions crucial. The brief underscores the need for a gender lens in digitalization, inclusive policies, and targeted interventions to achieve broader economic goals.
