报告摘要
Albania: Cervical Cancer Profile Summary
Morbidity and Mortality: High cervical cancer incidence rate at 9.4 per 100,000 women in 2020, with 16,400 deaths in 2019. Cumulative risk ages 0–74 is 0.7%. Mortality-to-incidence ratio is 0.56. A population-based cancer registry is absent (2021).
Primary Prevention: HPV vaccination coverage among girls is low at approximately 7% by age 15; HPV is not included in the national vaccination programme. A scaled-up programme was introduced recently, targeting certain ages, but risk factors such as tobacco use prevalence (0.02%) and HIV incidence are present.
Secondary Prevention: No formal national screening programme for cervical cancer exists (2021). Primary screening test and target age range not specified, but 54% of women reported screening in the last 5 years; post-2019 data indicates improved screening rates in specific age groups.
Treatment and Supportive Care: National guidelines on cervical cancer management exist (2021), but resources are limited, with scarce radiotherapy and brachytherapy units. Medical staff per 10,000 cancer patients is 7, and specialist numbers are low; palliative care is generally available in the public health system.
WHO Strategy Targets: Albania aligns with WHO elimination targets for 2030, but data shows low programme coverage and treatment rates, indicating challenges in meeting goals.
