Survey Overview
The Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) in Laos was conducted in 2003 among students aged 13-15, using a two-stage cluster sampling design. It aimed to assess tobacco use and its determinants. Sample selection was proportional to enrollment size, with a school response rate of 100%, class response rate of 100%, student response rate of 92.7%, and overall response rate of 92.7%, involving 6,536 participants.
