The ChinaAMC MSCI India ETF is a sub-fund of the ChinaAMC Global ETF Series, an umbrella unit trust established under Hong Kong law. It is a passively managed ETF designed to track the performance of the MSCI India Net Total Return (USD) Index. The ETF commenced trading on 30 September 2024 with three counters: HKD (3404), RMB (83404), and USD (9404). The ETF is governed by the SFC Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds and operates under the Trust Deed dated 17 September 2015, as amended.
Investment Strategy
The ETF primarily follows a full replication strategy, investing directly in securities included in the MSCI India Net Total Return (USD) Index in the same weightings as the Index. However, it may use a representative sampling strategy when certain securities are not available due to restrictions or limited supply. In such cases, the ETF invests in a sample of securities that collectively reflect the overall characteristics of the Index. The maximum deviation from the Index weighting of any constituent is not more than 4%.

Accounting Policies
- The financial statements are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the SFC Code.
- IFRS 18 and amendments to IFRS 9 and IFRS 7 have been adopted for the first time in the current year.
- Amendments to IAS 21 regarding non-exchangeable currencies are effective from 1 January 2025.
- The Sub-Fund uses amortised cost for financial assets where the SPPI (solely payments of principal and interest) criteria are met and the business model is to collect cash flows.
- Financial assets and liabilities classified at fair value through profit or loss (FVPL) are measured at fair value, with changes in value recorded in profit or loss.
- Impairment allowances are measured using a two-stage approach, with ECLs (expected credit losses) based on probability-weighted outcomes, time value of money, and reasonable and supportable information.
- Fair value is determined based on market participants' assumptions in the principal market or the most advantageous market.
