世界银行-2009-2019年所罗门群岛的多维贫困和空间差异(英)_71页_9mb
报告摘要
The report analyzes multidimensional poverty and spatial inequalities in Solomon Islands between 2009 and 2019 based on Population and Housing Census data. Solomon Islands experienced moderate poverty improvement, with the incidence decreasing from 43.5% to 35.4%. However, poverty remains concentrated in rural areas, particularly in provinces like Guadalcanal and Malaita. Key reductions occurred due to housing and water access improvements, while education and sanitation showed limited progress.
Urbanization, driven by internal migration (primarily to Honiara), accounted for 30% of poverty reduction. The Honiara Urban Area saw significant population growth, but migrants faced lower employment rates and higher risks. Government investments through Constituency Development Funds (CDFs) and projects improved housing and water access, but efficiency and maintenance remain concerns.
Future strategies include enhancing rural investments, promoting renewable energy, supporting market-oriented subsistence farming, and strengthening urban infrastructure and planning to accelerate poverty reduction and address spatial disparities effectively.
