- 54.0% ever smoked cigarettes
- 18.6% currently smoke cigarettes
- Boys: 19.6%, Girls: 17.1%
- 4.8% are daily cigarette smokers
- Boys: 6.2%, Girls: 3.5%
- 19.5% use any tobacco product
- Ever smokers initiated smoking before age 10: 27.4%
- Never smokers likely to initiate smoking next year: 24.0%
- Other tobacco use: 3.3% currently smoke cigars

Determinants of Tobacco Use
- Access and availability: 8.6% smoke cigarettes at home, 51.0% purchase from stores
- 76.2% of smokers in stores not refused due to age
- Price and refusals not emphasized as key factors
- Exposure to secondhand smoke (SHS): 86.7% live with others smoking in home, 90.4% exposed outside home, 90.4% favor public smoking bans
- Access and availability: 8.6% smoke cigarettes at home, 51.0% purchase from stores

Cessation and Attitudes
- 51.3% of current smokers want to quit
- 61.5% tried to stop in past year, 54.5% received help to quit
- 10.8% always crave cigarettes in the morning

Media and Advertising
- 26.5% have objects with cigarette brand logos
- Entertainment media messages: 67.3% pro-smoking on TV (vs 64.7% anti-smoking), high exposure to both
- Billboards and print ads: Some anti-smoking messages seen

School-Based Programming
- 57.3% taught about smoking dangers in past year through school
- 50.6% twice covered effects of tobacco use, fewer discussed social influences
High prevalence of youth tobacco use and exposure in Poland, with supportive public opinions and media mix.家庭教育 and school programs were implemented but availability could be improved.
