United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Non-Governmental Organizations List Summary

This document summarizes the list of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) participating in UNCTAD activities, as of February 2025. Rule 77 of UNCTAD's rules of procedure allows NGO participation. NGOs are categorized into two types:

• General Category: 131 organizations broadly involved with the Board's activities.
• Special Category: 80 organizations with specific competencies related to specialized subsidiary bodies.

The list includes details on each NGO's classification based on Board decisions, original designation approval sessions, and historical reclassification events. Information on participation rights may vary, with special category NGOs able to attend specific UNCTAD commissions (C.I and C.II) under rule 202.
