  • Prioritize reporting on countries off-track to meet MDG targets.
  • Consider a biennial reporting cycle starting with a thematic in-depth analysis.
  • Maintain a balance between breadth of topics and depth of analysis.

• Communication and Presentation:

  • Simplify reports and improve online accessibility (e.g., reduce file sizes).
  • Tailor communication materials to specific audiences (e.g., policymakers, donors, NGOs).
  • Ensure reports align with political events (e.g., SWA High-Level Meetings).

• Data Collection and Partnerships:

  • Reduce data collection burden by leveraging existing national processes.
  • Integrate GLAAS data collection with other initiatives like the SWA framework.
  • Explore partnerships with stakeholders to gather more comprehensive data.

• GLAAS serves as a critical tool for monitoring progress towards sanitation and drinking-water goals, complementing initiatives like the Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) program.
• Focus on credible data, clear messaging, and tailored communication strategies will enhance GLAAS's effectiveness in policy advocacy and decision-making.

• Launch GLAAS 2011 Strategy (2011–2015).
