报告摘要
Global School-based Student Health Survey (GSHS) in Algeria (2011) assessed dietary behaviors, drug use, hygiene, physical activity, tobacco use, and violence/unintentional injury among students aged 13-15 in grades 2-4. A two-stage cluster sampling design was used with a response rate of 98% overall, involving 4532 students. Students self-reported data.
Results showed varying health indicators: high rates of overweight and obesity, frequent carbonated soft drink consumption, and early drug use initiation; good and poor hygiene habits varied by sex; low physical activity levels and high sitting time were common; smoking was rare but more prevalent in boys and often started before age 14; and high incidences of physical fights, injuries, and bullying were reported.
