Bidding Volume
February 2024 saw a significant increase in land wind bids, with year-over-year growth of 806% and month-over-year growth of 1263%. Total bids in January-February were 81GW, down 42% YoY. Key developers included State Power Investment Corp. (32GW), while top 2024-2024 bids came from State Power Investment Corp., China Resources, and Datang.
Winning Quantity
Winning projects in February included 600MW of offshore wind in Hebei and Guangxi. Overall winning volume decreased YoY. Top manufacturers were Mingyang Wind Power (26GW), Goldwind (11GW), and Vision (11GW). Region-wise, inland projects dominated, with heavy focus in Northern China, while offshore was concentrated in Guangxi and Hebei.
Winning Prices
Land wind prices warmed up, with a 91% month-over-month increase in average winning price to 1407 yuan/kW. Offshore prices declined slightly by 4% to 2815 yuan/kW. Significant price disparities existed among manufacturers.
