报告摘要
Colombia has a total population of 48,229,000 and is categorized as an upper middle-income country. \n\nDiabetes mortality is significant, with reported deaths: for ages 30–69, 1,220 among males and 1,450 among females for diabetes, and 2,820 male and 2,450 female deaths attributable to high blood glucose. In the age group 70+, there are 1,350 male and 2,030 female diabetes deaths, alongside 3,140 male and 4,180 female high blood glucose deaths. Diabetes accounts for 35% of diabetes deaths among those aged 30–69, and its proportional mortality ranks it as a major cause compared to other conditions like cardiovascular diseases, injuries, cancers, and respiratory diseases. \n\nTrends indicate high age-standardized prevalence of diabetes, coupled with increasing rates of other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular diseases (30%), cancers (17%), and other NCDs (16%). Diabetes prevalence is notably high at 8.0% nationally, influenced by risk factors including high overweight rates (55.8%), obesity (20.7%), and physical inactivity (63.5%). \n\nColombia has operational strategies for diabetes, overweight/obesity, and physical inactivity but lacks evidence-based national diabetes guidelines. Medicine availability includes insulin and metformin, and basic technologies like blood glucose measurement and HbA1c tests are present, though some procedures are limited or unavailable.
