Summary of the 6th One Health High-Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP) Meeting

Overview

The 6th meeting was held on 6 May 2022, marking the first in-person gathering since the panel was established virtually in 2021. TG3: Surveillance Systems: Reviewed a surveillance paper to center on One Health, integrating environmental factors and examples. Implementation plans outlined financial, workforce, and priority gaps.
TG4: Disease Spillover Drivers: Collaborated with OHISS but maintained independence; continued work on hazard analysis with staffing support.

Administrative and Closing Notes

Prof. Thomas Mettenleiter and appointed rapporteur Prof. Dominique Charron were re-elected. Dr. Danny Sheath and senior officials closed the meeting, reinforcing OHHLEP's role in generating evidence-based recommendations for global implementation.
