2.1 Nationality

- A full degree certificate or equivalent must be provided by the closing date of applications.

2.2.1 University Degree

2.3 Prior Employment

Application Process
- Applications are published by the EBA based on available budget and capacity.
- Only applications submitted through the EBA's official call for applications are considered.

Selection Procedure

- Trainees are not permitted to participate in meetings or missions outside of London.
5.3 Interruption
- Interruptions may be authorized by HR with the mentor's agreement.

5.4 Early Termination
- Early termination requires a written request at least three weeks in advance.
- The EBA may reclaim the grant for the period after the termination date.
5.5 Future Employment
- Admission to the traineeship does not guarantee future employment with the EBA.
5.6 Absences
- Trainees are entitled to 2 days of leave per calendar month.
- Sickness absences require a medical certificate for absences exceeding three days.
- Unauthorized absences may result in disciplinary action or termination.
5.7 Confidentiality
- Trainees must adhere to the same confidentiality rules as EBA staff.
- They must not disclose any confidential information.

5.8 Sanctions and Disciplinary Measures

Financial Arrangements
6.1 Maintenance Grant
- A monthly grant is provided based on the available budget.
- The amount is published in the call for applications.
- Disabled trainees may receive a 50% supplement if justified.
- Early termination may require the return of the grant for the period after termination.
6.1.1 Tax Arrangements
- Maintenance grants are not subject to special EU tax rules.
- Trainees are responsible for their own tax obligations.
- A tax certificate is issued at the end of the traineeship.
6.2 Insurance
- EBA does not provide health or sickness insurance.
- Trainees must have coverage from their national scheme or private insurance.
- Employers' liability insurance covers trainees during the program.
6.3 Travel Flat-Rate Allowance
- Trainees who are recruited from outside London may receive a travel allowance.
- Allowance is based on the direct linear distance between recruitment place and EBA seat.
- Minimum of 3 months of traineeship is required to qualify.
- Trainees within 150 km of London are not entitled to the allowance.
Reports and Certificates
- Trainees must submit a self-assessment report at the end of their traineeship.
- The mentor and department head will also submit a report to HR.
