Despite global recognition of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), progress has slowed significantly since 2020. Currently, only about half of all targets show marked improvement or rapid advancement, causing serious concern.

The assessment shows progress in several areas:\

1. Public health and gender equality have seen advancement ((SDG3), (SDG5)), likely due to improved disease control and education.\
2. Global innovation and infrastructure enhancement ((SDG95), (SDG91)) have grown, boosted by increased R&D investment and new infrastructure development.\
3. Global energy transition ((SDG7), (SDG72)) has accelerated, with renewables capturing more market share.

However, there are significant and growing challenges:\

1. Falling growth rates create massive funding gaps ((approx.\ 42) trillion USD annually), undermining all SDGs.\
2. Intensified geopolitical rivalry, rising conflicts, and volatile resource availability threaten multiple targets ((SDG1), (SDG2), (SDG3), (SDG4), (SDG10), (SDG11)).\
3. Climate risks cascade across all goals: financial costs and economic losses escalate; disasters become more frequent; biodiversity continues to decline.\
4. Unhealthy technological decoupling hinders innovation ((SDG94)), creates digital divides, and amplifies several other risks.

China's Moderization model offers important lessons.
Its five distinguishing traits - population-scale modernization, common prosperity, material-spiritual wealth, ecological harmony, and peaceful development - dovetail well with SDGs. China, through initiatives like Belt and Road and its specific programs like fighting global poverty and climate protection, serves as a strong example.

Furthermore, the study proposes 'Comprehensive Development Goals 2050 (CDGs2050)' supplementing the 2030 framework, with four core directions and four top-line requirements designed to ensure future global well-being:

• Four Directions: Reshape the global economy, promote global infrastructure connectivity, develop digital technology, and advance clean energy.
• Four Red Lines: Prevent major wars, avoid global financial crises, guard against失控 of technology, and take measures against artificial climate catastrophes.
