1. COVID-19 Status & Response:

• Global Trend: Case/death numbers continue to decline, but testing reductions limit surveillance accuracy. Concerning increases noted in the Americas, Western Pacific, and Africa. Pandemic not over.
• Calls to Action: Maintain testing/sequencing, vaccinate high-risk groups (health workers, older people, at-risk populations).
• Budget: Member States agreed to increase assessed contributions to 50% of WHO's base budget by the end of the decade.
• Preparedness: Strengthened preparedness under the International Health Regulations (IHR), including targeted amendments. New international accord on pandemic preparedness is underway. Monkeypox surveillance amplified due to non-endemic country cases.

2. Monkeypox Outbreak:
